AI-edited module sheet. Based on the TUMonline module description, edited for readability.Original in TUMonline

What it is about

You will learn the fundamentals and practical techniques of multirate signal processing. The focus is on sampling-rate converters, their dimensioning and various implementation forms as well as applications in audio, video and mobile communications. At the end you will be able to convert sampling rates, combine them with other signal processing methods (e.g. band-pass subsampling) and assess the economic aspects of different implementations.

What you will be able to do

  • Design sampling-rate converters
  • Perform dimensioning of sampling rates
  • Understand theory and background of multirate processing
  • Apply different implementation forms
  • Combine with other signal processing methods (e.g. band-pass subsampling)
  • Assess economic aspects of implementations
