AI-edited module sheet. Based on the TUMonline module description, edited for readability.Original in TUMonline

What it is about

You work on current research projects in the Neuroelectronics group around microfluidics, in particular on topics such as 3D printing of hydrogels, control of flow rates and analyte preconcentration. In the end you can independently plan, conduct experimentally, evaluate and present the results in written and oral form for a defined research project.

What you will be able to do

  • Literature review on an assigned topic in the field of microfluidics
  • Experiment planning to test hypotheses in microfluidics
  • Carrying out experiments to characterize microfluidic components
  • Analysis of microscopic, profilometric, electrochemical and sensor data
  • Written and oral presentation of experimental results

What the module consists of

  • Project laboratoryYou independently conduct state-of-the-art microfluidics experiments and work on a defined research project

Teaching method

  • Introduction and literature scanningProvides an overview and sets the project context
  • Independent laboratory workEnables practical experience and data collection
  • Discussions with tutor and mentorFeedback, analysis of results and planning of follow-up experiments
  • Regular presentationsPromotes communication skills and internal integration into the research group
