Projektpraktikum Human-Centered Neuroengineering: Cybathlon

What it is about

You work in teams on human-centered research and development tasks around Cybathlon disciplines (arm prosthetics or brain-computer interfaces). In the end you can record and process neural signals (EEG, EMG), apply ML algorithms to them, and develop assistive systems with sensory feedback, while collaborating participatorily with pilots.

What you will be able to do

• Record and pre-process EEG and EMG signals
• Apply and further develop machine learning algorithms on neural data
• Integrate sensory feedback
• Develop assistive systems for ADLs in the Cybathlon context
• Organize and lead large technical projects
• Work effectively in small teams and communicate progress
• Include people with disabilities in a participatory manner
• Apply methods of human-centered design
• Reflect on neurotechnologies from an ethical perspective
