AI-edited module sheet. Based on the TUMonline module description, edited for readability.Original in TUMonline

What it is about

You design and verify transistor-based analog circuits for voltage regulation. In the lab you work with the Cadence Design Environment and develop either a linear power supply or a bandgap reference system including temperature compensation and control optimization.

What you will be able to do

  • Transistor-Level design of integrated analog circuits
  • Verification of circuits with circuit simulation software
  • Application of temperature compensation techniques
  • Design of feedback/frequency compensation for control loops
  • Design of complete small supply systems (linear power supply or bandgap)

What the module consists of

  • Labor/PraktikumDesign, simulation and verification of circuits; implementation of the project task

Teaching method

  • CAD-Simulation (Cadence)for practical dimensioning and verification at transistor level
  • Group workjoint development, presentation and documentation of the design
