What it is about

You learn the fundamentals of common mental disorders (epidemiology, course, diagnostics) as well as neurophysiological mechanisms and common therapeutic approaches. You also work out how mental health promotion and prevention can be designed across the life course (including internet/mobile interventions) and how to plan and evaluate evidence-based intervention projects ethically and in compliance with data protection regulations.

What you will be able to do

  • differentiate common mental disorders and describe epidemiology, course, diagnostics and therapeutic options

  • distinguish fundamental psychotherapeutic approaches and their application areas
  • assess the importance of health promotion and prevention for different life stages

  • plan and conduct research in accordance with ethical guidelines and data protection regulations (DSGVO)
