What it is about

You learn how companies generate value from innovations and other activities — and why they sometimes lose this value to competitors, complementarities, or customers. You engage with conceptual approaches (e.g., Resource-Based View, Teece's Profiting-From-Innovation) as well as game-theoretic models and practice applying quantitative value-capture models and negotiation analyses.
