What it is about
The seminar introduces the basics of designing and evaluating online surveys with a practical focus on creating surveys in Qualtrics. By the end you will independently program a short online survey, avoid typical pitfalls in questionnaire design, and control the survey flow including simple experimental logics (e.g. randomization).
What you will be able to do
- Design and implement surveys in Qualtrics in practice
- Identify and avoid common errors in questionnaire design
- Handle survey flow and process control (e.g. randomization)
- Apply selected advanced techniques (e.g. embedding external content via iFrame)
What the module consists of
- LectureIntroduction to theory and practice of survey design
- Practical exercisesHands-on work with Qualtrics to create own surveys
- Presentation of resultsPresentation and discussion of the survey results
Teaching method
- LectureConveying the fundamentals and core concepts
- Practical exercisesHands-on training in Qualtrics for applying what was learned
- PresentationResult presentation and peer feedback
