Advanced Topics in Comparative and International Political Economy

What it is about

You engage with the interaction between international economy and domestic policy. In the end you will be able to assess how economic globalization influences political and economic preferences as well as the development of political regimes, and you will be able to develop and conduct your own empirical research questions in Comparative and International Political Economy.

What you will be able to do

• Understanding the links between international economy and national politics
• Assessing the effects of economic globalization on preferences and regime development
• Familiarity with central concepts and research designs in IPE and comparative political science
• Analysis of the structure of the international economy for industrial and emerging economies
• Development of your own research question and execution of an empirical study design
• Practical skills in data management, data analysis, written presentation of results and presentation
