Economics of Water Use, Regulation and Markets

What it is about

You learn about the economic causes of overuse of water resources and how incentives can be changed to achieve societally better usage patterns. In the end you will be able to apply economic models to analyze water management problems and evaluate policies.

• Select and apply an appropriate economic model to solve water policy problems
• Explain mathematically derived solutions in an economically intuitive way
• Apply models to different water-related questions (supply and demand) and assess the effects of decisions
