Foundations of Integrated Product Design

What it is about

You will get an overview of the typical design process in product design and learn fundamentals such as form finding, manufacturing techniques, cost calculation and marketing strategies. In the end you can design a low-complexity product yourself, realize it as a 1:1 prototype, and apply the design process in future projects.

What you will be able to do

• independently design a low-complexity product and produce it as a 1:1 prototype
• professionally visualize designs (sketches, drawings, models)
• assess the effort and value of your own work
• apply the design process independently in future projects
• place the role of product design in the interplay with other disciplines
