Sustainability in Automotive Engineering

What it is about

In this module you will learn the basics and methods of sustainability with a focus on the automotive industry. In the end you will be able to assess ecological, economic and social aspects, classify results and apply methods to support technical decisions as well as plan and deliver scientific lectures.

• Understand core concepts of sustainability and apply them in the automotive context
• Recognize the ambivalence of the sustainability concept and transfer it to engineering questions
• Know methods for quantifying ecological, economic and social sustainability
• Analyze, classify and interpret results
• Apply methods for decision support in the everyday engineering work
• Know and apply strategies and methods for designing presentations
• Research, analyze and discuss scholarly publications
• Independently develop and deliver a scientific presentation
