What it is about

You get an overview of safety and health at work in a changing world of work. You will learn to distinguish institutional frameworks and management processes at global, European and national levels and to assess concrete risks and protective measures for topics such as climate change, circular economy, low-qualified work, digitalization, automation, algorithmic management, platform and hybrid work. By the end you can propose concrete measures for different forms of business (including startups) and working models.

• Assess the impacts of climate change on workplaces and develop risk minimization

• Identify risks in low-qualified workplaces and propose prevention
• Analyze specific challenges and strategies for startups
• Apply ergonomic design principles for digitized work environments
• Classify tasks in the context of digitalization for occupational safety
• Assess the effects of automation and algorithmic management and derive measures
• Analyze health and safety aspects of platform work
• Evaluate challenges of remote and hybrid work and provide recommendations
