What it is about

The module provides a systematic overview of radioactive waste, its generation, properties, storage and disposal as well as current research questions. At the end you will be able to classify waste types and origins, evaluate disposal approaches and apply the fundamentals of radiation protection, environmental monitoring and risk assessment.
