What it is about

You learn to model, simulate, and optimize preparative liquid chromatography processes with the open-source simulation framework CADET. In the end you will be able to select appropriate chromatographic models, estimate missing model parameters, and systematically investigate influencing factors to analyze and improve processes.

What you will be able to do

• Apply CADET (e.g., via the Python interface) reliably to preparative chromatography processes
• Assess the influence of different chromatographic models and select an appropriate model
• Analyze, characterize and optimize chromatographic processes with CADET
• Determine missing model parameters using estimation and parameter identification methods
• Recognize process variables in parameter studies of fluid and solute transport and understand their effects

What the module consists of

• SeminarProvision of theoretical foundations and practical exercises for applying CADET; the course is offered as a one-week block session in small groups
