What it is about

You will learn the fundamentals and techniques of autonomous technical systems: perception (multisensor fusion, localization, navigation, mapping, object recognition), planning and execution (task decomposition, reactive and knowledge-based behavior, learning) as well as architectural concepts. In the end you will be able to analyze problems of autonomous robotics and develop solutions as well as implement them in a project-oriented team setting.

The assessment consists of multiple components: 1) Practical implementation and evaluation of modules for autonomous robotic systems (40%) – assessment of programming skills and scientifically correct implementation; 2) Final presentation of the project work with critical engagement (30%); 3) Preparatory exercises and homework for the use of the simulation environment (20%); 4) Engagement and teamwork, particularly use of technical means for documentation, communication and error solving (10%).
