Auslegung und Simulation von Mikrosatelliten

What it is about

In this module you will learn about the structure, subsystems and typical communication mechanisms of microsatellites and you will apply simulation and testing methods. You will practice using the FLP2 testbench (on-site or remote demonstration) and independently develop a satellite simulation including demonstration and report in two-person projects.

What you will be able to do

• Name subsystems of a satellite
• Understand the interplay between flight software and subsystems
• Know communication protocols and design and configure a network for subsystem interconnection
• Understand the relevance and application of simulations for verifications of a satellite
• Link test phases of a satellite with simulative verification methods
• Reproduce communication between subsystems on a simulator
• Independently add new functions to a simulated subsystem
