Introduction to Micro Air Vehicles

What it is about

You learn the basics of small flight systems (drones): structure, aerodynamics, modeling, control, navigation, perception and planning. In the end you will be able to understand mechanical and mathematical models of these systems and apply fundamental methods for regulation and navigation.

• Understand mechanical design of small flight systems
• Explain the aerodynamics of small flight systems
• Create mathematical models for fixed-wing and multirotor systems
• Apply control approaches for under- and fully actuated flight systems
• Use basics of sensing and state estimation
• Apply fundamental principles of path and trajectory planning
