What it is about

In this module you will learn process engineering fundamentals for the valorisation of bio-products, with a focus on adsorptive processes and extraction procedures. You can analyse, evaluate and combine chromatographic and extractive processes with additional steps such as cell disruption or centrifugation to form complete valorisation processes.

• Analysis of chromatographic processes
• Evaluation of extractive procedures
• Combination of valorisation steps (e.g., cell disruption, centrifugation, aqueous extraction)
• Application of classical and modern methods of bioproduct valorisation
• Cost estimation of valorisation processes
