You learn the thermodynamic fundamentals and the key components of thermal power plants as well as their operating modes. In the end you will be able to analyze power cycles (especially Clausius–Rankine and Joule–Brayton), solve mass and enthalpy balances for pumps, compressors, turbines, boilers and condensers, and evaluate various power plant configurations.
From an earlier semester, for reference only.
