You will learn the basic aeroelastic phenomena that arise from the interaction of elastic, aerodynamic and inertial forces on structures — with a focus on aircraft that are flying with fixed wings. In the end you can derive simple models for static and dynamic aeroelasticity and make quantitative statements about phenomena such as divergence and flutter, as well as assess their limits.
