Bionik-Seminar

What it is about

In the Bionics Seminar you work in interdisciplinary teams (predominantly biologists and engineers) to develop biological models as solution ideas for current technical problems. In the end you will be able to apply methods of concept finding, transfer biological functions to technical questions, and present a concept including a prototype.

What you will be able to do

• Application of methods of concept finding in bionics
• Performance of functional analysis, abstraction and analogical transfer
• Use of creativity techniques to solve technical problems
• Conception, evaluation and documentation of bionic solution ideas
• Creation and demonstration of a functional prototype

What the module consists of

• Blockveranstaltung (Workshop, 10-tägig)central project work and workshops to impart methodological basics
• Pre-eventsintroductory sessions; participation in two pre-events is required, after these you may still withdraw from the module
• Gruppenarbeit/ProjektarbeitWorking on interdisciplinary projects with prototyping
• DemoDay/PräsentationFinal presentation and demonstration of the prototypes in front of an audience
