Algebraic Number Theory 3

What it is about

You will learn the fundamentals of class field theory, both locally and globally. The focus is on local class field theory (including the invariant map, reciprocity law and existence theorem) and applications such as the local Kronecker–Weber theorem; in addition you will get an introduction to global class field theory and selected applications. In the end you will be able to apply the central theorems and methods of class field theory and transfer them to concrete problems in number theory.
