Governing Innovative Technologies (BSc.) - Cloud

What it is about

You will learn the technical foundations of cloud computing, market and business models of the cloud industry, as well as current political initiatives, regulatory approaches, and sustainability issues (e.g. energy consumption, component usage, data center resilience). In the end you will be able to evaluate technological, economic and political interrelations of the cloud and analyze ecological impacts.

What you will be able to do

• Understand the basics of cloud technology and typical use cases
• Classify essential policy areas around cloud computing in the EU, the USA and China
• Analyze environmental and sustainability aspects of cloud computing
• Interpret the roles and forms of action of regulatory authorities in the cloud domain
