What it is about

You analyze sustainable developments of neighborhoods, cities and infrastructures based on current case studies. You will learn to assess planning, construction and operation phases from a sustainability perspective and to develop solutions for new builds, renovations and zero-/plus-energy projects.

What you will be able to do

• Application of sustainability criteria to example projects
• Understanding sustainable developments in urban quarters, civil and structural engineering
• Assessment of relevant subsystems at the neighborhood level
• Understanding active and passive building technology as well as intelligent building envelopes
• Assessment of comfort, climate, energy consumption, resource consumption and CO2 emissions
• Carrying out scenario analyses and transferring solutions to other objects
