You learn the basics and building blocks of aircraft propulsion (e.g. intake, compressor, combustion chamber, turbine, nozzle, propeller) as well as thermodynamic and aerodynamic principles such as the Joule–Brayton cycle and velocity vectors. By the end you can assess different propulsion types and their mission requirements and evaluate basic performance and life-cycle requirements of propulsion systems.
