Master's Thesis

What it is about

In the Master’s Thesis you work on an independent political science research or project topic, often at the interface to engineering or natural sciences. You work in collaboration with a supervisor at the Hochschule für Politik München, the TUM School of Governance or another TUM faculty (often in collaboration with industry or a research institute) and complete the work within six months. In the end, you can independently, systematically and methodically address a scientific project and present and classify the results in writing.

• Scientific research, presentation and evaluation of facts and findings
• Situating the results in scientific or professional discourse
• Development of an independent solution approach

What the module consists of

• Master's ThesisPreparation of a six-month scientific final thesis on a specific topic

• Selbstständige wissenschaftliche BearbeitungApplication and deepening of the professional and methodological knowledge acquired during studies to create a detailed scientific documentation
• Betreuung durch FakultätsmitgliedGuidance and professional advice by a topic proposer from the Hochschule für Politik, TUM School of Governance or another TUM faculty
