Digital Transformation of the Public Sector

What it is about

You learn how government structures, administration and institutional framework conditions shape digital transformation initiatives in the public sector. In the end you will be able to identify central components of digital government systems (platforms, data infrastructures, governance), analyze barriers such as transparency, accountability or exclusion problems, and apply theory to concrete cases.

Assessment

Group presentationWritten paperExercise submissions (optional)

The performance consists of a group project: a group presentation (40 minutes) accounts for 40% of the grade; additionally you write an individual project assessment (about 2000 words), which constitutes 60%. Optionally you can improve the overall module grade by up to 0.3 if you submit five short exercises (each max. 150 words) after lectures. A worsening of the grade is excluded by these exercises; improvement is not possible if the module grade is 4.3 or worse.
