Governance of Innovative Technologies: Cloud

What it is about

You will learn the fundamentals of cloud technology, how the cloud industry works and what use cases exist. The module relates these technical and economic foundations to current EU policies (e.g., GAIA-X, EU Cloud Rulebook) as well as to topics such as data protection, cybersecurity and sustainability, so that you can analyze political challenges and design options.

• Understand the fundamentals of cloud technology and typical use cases
• Know current EU strategies and policies in the cloud domain
• Recognize the roles and forms of intervention of regulatory actors
• Analyze political implications of cloud technologies (opportunities and risks)
