Core Topic: Law and Digitization in Action (MA RESET/STS)

What it is about

You learn how legal techniques are applied to questions of science and digital technologies. The focus is on new digital technologies such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things. In the end you can analyze concrete legal problems related to a current digital topic and discuss regulatory solutions with reference to fundamental constitutional principles.

What you will be able to do

• Categorization and understanding of central regulatory and design approaches for digital technologies
• Reflection on specific regulatory decisions and their intended and unintended effects
• Presentation and discussion of a legal problem as well as development and argumentation of a solution
• Reflection on the choice made in a legal argument and linking it to constitutional concepts
• Participation in legal argumentation in the seminar
