Ethik und Verantwortung II

What it is about

You engage more deeply with selected questions of applied ethics (e.g. environmental, science, technology, medicine, or information/media ethics) and learn to philosophically analyze central arguments. In the end you can reproduce the main positions of a topic area, apply them to current problems, and formulate your own, written, reasoned statement.

What you will be able to do

Understanding the main arguments of a field of applied ethics
Transfer of ethical arguments to other contexts
Knowledge of the current state of the discussion
Written formulation and argumentative justification of your own position

What the module consists of

SeminarStudents independently work on literature, present in presentations and discuss ethical arguments in the group
