What it is about

You will learn advanced programming and algorithmic practices in Python and C++ and apply them to examples from Computational Geometry, point cloud processing and image analysis. In the end you will be able to tackle geodetic problems programmatically, use appropriate data structures and libraries, and bring Python and C++ together.

What you will be able to do

  • Advanced programming in Python
  • Generic programming in C++11
  • Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
  • Use of relevant libraries (e.g., NumPy, TensorFlow)
  • Integration of Python and C++ in workflows
  • Apply to examples from geodesy (computational geometry, point clouds, image analysis)

What the module consists of

  • VorlesungDelivery of the fundamental concepts and libraries
  • ÜbungPractical application and deepening, incl. inverted-classroom elements

Teaching method

  • VorlesungIntroduction to concepts and patterns
  • Übung / inverted classroomPractical deepening and interactive learning phases
