What it is about

In this project seminar you apply systems engineering principles to a stratospheric balloon mission. In the end you will derive and manage requirements, design a systems engineering plan as well as a lifecycle for a spaceflight-adjacent system, plan, execute and evaluate a balloon mission, and present project results and defend them in reviews.

What you will be able to do

• Derive requirements from customer specifications and refine them with stakeholders
• Design a Systems Engineering Management Plan for a complex system
• Design the lifecycle of a system and tailor it to spaceflight projects
• Collect and analyze operating data, draw conclusions about mission performance
• Report and defend project status and readiness in reviews
• Communicate technical results effectively to a broader audience
• Plan, build, integrate and test an operable stratospheric balloon mission
• Collaborate effectively and productively in a team
