Bachelor's Thesis

What it is about

You work on an independent engineering-science question from the area of aerospace under supervision by a faculty member. In the end you will be able to systematically research a topic, apply suitable solution approaches, prepare the results in writing and discuss them professionally.

• decomposition of questions into work packages and timely implementation
• scientific research and autonomous presentation of facts
• knowledge and application of the basics of good scientific practice
• largely autonomous engineering-science activity in the field of aerospace

What the module consists of

• Bachelor’s Thesis (Einzelarbeit)you develop the scientific write-up for a given question
• mündliche Präsentationcomplements the written work; is not graded separately

Teaching method

• Material- und Literaturrechercheprocurement and evaluation of relevant information for the thesis
• Bearbeitung von Problemen und Lösungsfindungapplication of learned subject-specific and methodological knowledge to solve the question
• Schriftliche und ggf. computergestützte Aufbereitungdocumentation and presentation of the results
• Unterweisung durch die/den Themensteller/indevelopment of methodological fundamentals (e.g. measurement methods, experimental setups, specific theories or software) under guidance
