Cyber-Physische Produktionssysteme in der Smart Factory

What it is about

In the module you will learn how networked factories (Smart Factory / Industry 4.0) are built and operated data-driven. You will acquire practical skills in PLC programming, use of low-cost sensors, data exchange with OPC UA, as well as storage and visualization of production data and KPIs.

Assessment

The module examination consists of a written test (duration 30 minutes, no aids) and a practical group project with an accompanying individual presentation (presentation duration: 10 minutes). The overall grade is composed of 50% written test, 25% substantive assessment of the practical task (group performance) and 25% of the individual presentation. The practical task itself is internally weighted 50% by content results and 50% by presentation.
