Englisch - Gateway to English Master's C1

What it is about

You practise academic English competencies at C1 level: lecture comprehension, note-taking, discussions as well as scientific writing and presenting. In the end you can largely follow English-taught lectures, summarise the main ideas and write longer scientific papers and essays in English.

What you will be able to do

Understand lectures in English and summarise the main ideas
Write longer papers and critical essays in English
Apply scientific argumentation and rhetorical conventions
Avoid plagiarism and observe ethical aspects
Use hedging and formulates research questions
Present orally on professionally related topics

What the module consists of
