Psychology of Learning and Instructional Design

What it is about

You will learn fundamental psychological theories of learning and principles of Instructional Design with a focus on AI-assisted learning environments. In the end you will be able to explain these concepts, apply them to practical situations and design simple evaluation instruments for user studies or educational research.

What you will be able to do

• Name cognitive learning theories and apply them to AI-based systems
• Differentiate psychological prerequisites of humans and understand human–AI interactions
• Structure and practically apply essential Instructional Design principles
• Know the basics of questionnaire and test construction and transfer to practice examples
• Strengthen communication, argumentation and critical thinking skills through group work
