What it is about

You will learn to design, implement and empirically evaluate personalized simulations for higher education theory-guided. The focus is on adaptive support forms (e.g., scaffolding, feedback, cue salience, branching) as well as the measurement and evaluation of learning processes and learning outcomes.

• Analyze personalization needs in simulations
• design and justify adaptive support mechanisms
• select suitable process and outcome measures
• develop an evaluation design including analysis plan
• critically reflect on limitations, fairness and risks of personalized systems
