In this module you will learn numerical methods for solving inverse problems in atmospheric remote sensing. Building on linear algebra and differential equations, regularization techniques such as Tikhonov, Generalized Cross Validation and L-curve are covered and applied to real measurement tasks (e.g., temperature profiles, gas concentrations). By the end you will be able to understand inverse problems, practically apply regularization methods, and estimate regularization parameters.
