What it is about
In this module you will learn how nutrition-related prevention programs are structured and evaluated across different disease areas, life stages, and care settings. At the end you will be able to explain, assess and propose target group-specific prevention strategies, as well as apply common methods for nutrition and body composition analysis.
What you will be able to do
- understand and apply target group-specific prevention strategies
- describe prevention strategies in different health settings
- analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of prevention programs
- propose relevant prevention programs for age groups and settings
- apply typical methods and tools for nutrition assessment (e.g., 24-h recall, dietary anamnesis, FFQ)
- evaluate and use methods to measure body composition (e.g., BMI, BIA, skinfolds, MRI, ultrasound)
