Technoscience and the City: Advances in Urban Theory

What it is about

You learn how cities are composed as complex sociotechnical systems of people, technologies, materials and nonhuman actors. The module introduces newer theoretical approaches (inspired by Science and Technology Studies) to urbanity, urbanization and the politics of infrastructure and shows how technoscientific practices shape urban processes.

• Analyze sociotechnical assemblages and knowledge politics using case studies
• Critically evaluate and experimentally explore more-than-human politics of basic and citizen projects
