What it is about
You learn how research results and technical developments can be secured as protective rights (in particular patents) and economically exploited. The module conveys the main areas of intellectual property, the path from invention to the protective right, its enforcement in court, and exploitation options such as spin-offs. In the end you can assess whether a development is patentable and draft an invention disclosure.
