What it is about

In this module you work in a team to develop a near-series mechatronic system — typically an autonomous, wheel-based mobile platform — from the idea to a functional prototype. In the end you can design such a system, select components, build, program, commission and evaluate it.

What you will be able to do

  • Development of an autonomous wheel-based mobile platform
  • System design and component selection
  • Practical assembly and commissioning (production, assembly, soldering)
  • Programming of embedded systems (e.g. microcontroller)
  • Systematic evaluation and fault finding
  • Teamwork and interdisciplinary problem solving

What the module consists of

  • ProjektarbeitMain component: development, construction, programming and commissioning of the mechatronic system
  • PräsentationPresentation of results and demonstration of functionality

Teaching method

  • ProjektarbeitUsed to convey practical and interdisciplinary design and integration skills in a team
