What it is about

You learn how modern CPU architectures (CPU, cache, TLB, memory hierarchy, branch prediction) influence the behavior and performance of database systems. In the end you will be able to analyze memory access patterns, adapt database internals so that they use CPU/cache efficiently, and assess cache-aware algorithms as well as compression methods for throughput improvement.

What you will be able to do
