Introduction to Statistics Using R

What it is about

You learn the basics of statistics and data analysis in R with a focus on reproducible research in psychology. By the end you will be able to apply fundamental R concepts, prepare and visualize data, and perform exploratory analyses, correlations, and simple/multiple linear regressions in a reproducible form (R Markdown).

What you will be able to do

• Understanding the replication issues in psychological research
• Getting to know developments to improve reproducibility (e.g., Open Science)
• Use of the R environment for reproducible research
• Fundamentals of the R language (variables, data structures, functions, etc.)
• Applying R Markdown for reproducibility
• Data preparation (Data wrangling)
• Data visualization according to common practices
• Conducting exploratory data analysis
• Calculation and interpretation of correlations
• Conducting and interpreting simple and multiple linear regression
