Advanced Seminar Economics & Econometrics: Human Behavior, Sustainability, and Environmental Policy

What it is about

You engage with the interfaces of behavioral economics, sustainability, and environmental policy. You analyze current research on these topics, identify behavioral mechanisms behind environmentally relevant actions, and assess policy measures. In the end you will critically evaluate scholarly literature, summarize findings in written form, and present scientifically.

What you will be able to do

• Understand and explain core concepts of behavioral economics, sustainability, and environmental policy
• Critically evaluate scientific research (research question, methodology, strengths/weaknesses)
• Analyze behavioral mechanisms for environmental and sustainability problems and derive political implications
• Communicate results in a structured written report
• Present research findings orally and contribute to academic discussion
