What it is about
You engage with economic models to explain innovation, research and development incentives, and their connections with imitation, spillovers, firm size, and market structure. You will also become familiar with dynamic, knowledge-based models (including knowledge generation, catch-up and lag dynamics, market selection) and apply what you have learned to selected questions in innovation research. At the end you will be able to identify central problems of the Economics of Innovation, categorize them theoretically, and present them in a written paper as well as in a presentation.
