You will learn the basic concepts of category theory: categories, functors and natural transformations as well as central concepts such as universal properties, representability and the Yoneda lemma. You will also become familiar with limits, colimits and adjunctions and will subsequently be able to analyze properties of categories from different mathematical areas.
