Economics

What it is about

You will receive an introduction to the fundamental concepts of economics with a part on microeconomics and a part on macroeconomics. In the end you will be able to explain basic micro- and macroeconomic relationships, analyze market mechanisms and evaluate simple economic policy instruments.

Understand and explain fundamental economic principles
Analyze consumer behavior and production decisions of firms
Derive supply and demand in competitive market models
Assess market failure and government interventions
Explain growth, inflation and unemployment
Analyze fundamental instruments of monetary and fiscal policy
