AI-edited module sheet. Based on the TUMonline module description, edited for readability.Original in TUMonline

What it is about

You will learn the basics and applications of modern computational-intelligence methods, in particular neural networks, fuzzy- and neuro-fuzzy techniques, as well as evolutionary procedures and genetic algorithms. In the end you will be able to apply these methods generally and analyze applications, especially in control engineering.

What you will be able to do

  • Apply modern methods of computational intelligence
  • Understand and apply different types of neural networks
  • Use fuzzy and neuro-fuzzy processing techniques
  • Utilize evolution-based procedures and genetic algorithms
  • Analyze applications in control engineering

What the module consists of

  • LectureConveying the theoretical foundations
  • ExercisesDeepening through problem solving and implementation

Teaching method

  • Frontal teaching (Lecture)for the conveyance of the concepts
  • Tutorial/workshop in exercisesfor repeated solving of problems and implementation to deepen understanding
